Dharamsala-based model Vijay Singh couldn't believe his luck when he won Mallika Sherawat's hand on the quirky dating reality TV show 'The Bachelorette - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika'. He is confident they are made for each other and feels their small town connect will help them in their journey.

He beat the other finalist Karan Sagoo, an NRI restaurant owner from London, on the Life OK show's finale Friday night.

Sounding completely zapped, Vijay said after the triumph: "I can't believe I've been chosen by Mallika! Back home in Himachal Pradesh, I used to watch every film of hers. I especially liked her in '******'. She's my favorite."

'The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika', based on the internationally popular format of "The Bachelor", focused on finding a match for Mallika from among 30 contestants, who came from different parts of the country and abroad.

At the show's beginning itself, the actress had clarified that she was only looking for a companion via the show and that she was not promising to settle down with the man she chooses finally.
But for Vijay, 24, winning the show and the actress' heart was "like a dream".

"The other finalist Karan Sagoo also stood a very good chance of winning. But when Mallika gave me the rose, I was in a state of complete disbelief," he said.

Of course the marriage has not taken place as yet and therein lies the catch.

To that, he said: "We've got to know each other as much as we could on the show. Now it's time to take the relationship beyond the show. And for that we need time. We need to get to know one another. I'm pretty confident Mallika and I are made for one another."
And how did Vijay arrive at this conclusion?

Shyly and in chaste Hindi, the small town boy said: "Mallika and I are similar in many ways. She is frank, caring and very transparent about her likes and dislikes. So am I. We both come from small towns. She is from Rohtak in Haryana. I am from Himachal. We both arrived in Mumbai with our dreams. Like her, I too hope to make something of my life."

Recalling his early days in Mumbai, Vijay said: "I came to Mumbai on August 18, 2012. I participated in the Gladrags (model hunt) contest 2013. I can't believe I am standing here looking at the prospect of becoming one of India's most desirable woman's life partner."

Vijay got into the 'The Bachelorette India...' through online audition.
"When I was chosen, I was in a state of disbelief. When I became one of the two finalists, I was even more surprised. Now having won Mallika's hand, I feel I am in a dream," he said.

But what if now, after the on-camera courtship is over, the couple discover they are not made for each other after all?

Vijay pondered and said: "Haan, aisa bhi ho sakta hai (It can happen). But I hope not."

Mallika Sherawat spends pool-time with The Bachelorette India contestants!

The Bachelorette India, aired on Life OK channel showcased Mallika Sherawat is still a water baby but now she has become a little coy. May be it's got to with wanting to find the right suitor on national TV. The actor who is on a hunt to find Mr. Right through this show never gets tired of unearthing innovative but at the same time gimmicky ways to select the right suitor.

In last night’s episode audience gets to watch Mallika having fun with the contestants in the pool. Only Mallika will be dressed much more conservatively in flowery dress in the pool. Mallika meets the boys by the pool. She gives them the task to find a heart from the bottom of the pool. She throws boxes inside the pool. Each box is locked and its key is on the other side of the pool. The boys need to take one key at a time and find the box which has Mallika's heart in it.

At the end of the task, Karan Sagoo and Vijay Singh together pick up Mallika and throw her in the pool. Of course everything is happening in the fun of the moment, but one contestant takes offense, Vinay Jhamb.

Well we must say Mallika knows how to enjoy a splashy morning with the boys. She promises to be wet but is nowhere near to being wild like in her earlier movies. Not for TV for sure.

The 'Murder' actress, who has not been in contact with her parents for a long time, was surprised to see them on the sets and later was seen having a long conversation with them.

Her father Mukesh Lamba, then started questioning the contestants of the show, that did not go well with Mallika. She took a stand for the participants, but unfortunately left her father furious.

Seeing his daughter standing up against him, Lamba ended up saying that she is making the biggest mistake of her life by doing such an act and stormed out of the sets.

Mallika's reunion with her parents did not turn out well and she was seen crying and running behind them.

'The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika', which went on air on

October 7, currently features six participants who are trying to woo the actress.

Why a contestant gets a sudden exit from The Bachelorette India!

The Bachelorette India-Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika sees a sudden exit of one of the suitors. Reason? The contestant Saurabh Siddeshwari was found misbehaving and flirting with a female staff of the show. He was thrown out from the show as his stints were totally unacceptable nor by Mallika Sherawat neither by the team members of the show.

Reports said that the contestant has been eliminated by Mallika Sherawat for eyeing on her female staff and writing letters to her. Saurabh, who is a social worker and singer by profession, raised many eyebrows when he first walked on the show and gave Mallika Sherawat a long unwelcome hug. This didn’t go down well with the actress however later Saurabh on many different occasions tried to apologise to Mallika.

But this time the young lad crossed his line and went ahead to write an anonymous letter to Mallika's female staff member which stated, “I am lonely!” signed with his contact number, report said. Sources inform Saurabh's behavior was unforgivable and he was right away eliminated by Mallika Sherawat.

Well, looks like the makers have realized that a successful show needs some masala apart from Mallika's look because the opening week TRPs of the show are not in favor of the show. That’s why might be the makers are leaving no stone unturned from adding new drama quotient on the show.

Bharti Singh makes Bachelorette contestants sweat

Comedian Bharti Singh is known for her humor, wits and of course, her size. All this came to play as she rocked the day and had everyone rolling with laughter during her visit on the sets of Life OK’s The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika.

The contestants were seen laughing from the moment Bharti started talking in her own witty and endearing style. But the laughter lasted only until she gave them the humongous task of physically lifting her. Eyes popped out, heartbeats skipped and sweat broke out as the reality of the task dawned upon the men. Dreaming of lifting the sexy Mallika, the suitors had to instead focus on lifting the healthy Bharti.

Even in that, of all the contestants, only a few could manage to do this really challenging test of physical strength. Hardly had the men recovered from this daunting exercise, when Bharti came up with her second surprise! Since her jokes and comic timing had left the contestants in splits, she asked them to literally do splits.

Bharti challenged the boys to do a full split, which once again left them all hassled and perturbed. A task that many boys lost but Bharti won and proudly exclaimed ‘A healthy body leads to a healthy mind’.

Abhishek leaves show, Sunil Bohra to make an appearance in Life OK's The Bachelorette India

It’s said…a healthy mind leads to a healthy body!!

Today’s episode of The Bachelorette India will see contestants putting on their master-chef coats on.
The morning starts with Mallika meeting all the contestants in the morning for a yoga session. While Mallika defines her body with some perfect splits and asans the contestants excel while some struggle.
Post the yoga session, Mallika becomes the peace maker and makes Saurabh Siddheshwari apologize to Karan Sagoo for hurting him during Bollywood night.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Sethi expresses his problems to Mallika and informs that he would have to quit the show since his mother is critically ill. Mallika, with no option left, wishes him adieu.

Post the drama, Mallika informs the contestants that her dear friend Sunil Bohra, who is a renowned name in Bollywood, was coming over for dinner and she wanted the contestants to prepare a full Rajasthani Bhog for him. To meet the deadline Mallika divides the contestants into teams and puts them in charge of three courses and appoints team leaders. The boys start cooking and Mallika lends a helping hand to them in the kitchen.
Sunil Bohra makes an entry and interrupts the cooking and takes Mallika away for a chat. Sunil and Mallika have a chat about her early days in Mumbai, their friendship of 15 years and how Sunil can’t believe she is looking for love…Mallika and Sunil will sit for dinner prepared by the boys. Sunil interacts with the boys over dinner, grills them about their financial standing.

He tells the boys that the monthly expenses of Mallika is around 2.5 million rupees and asks the boys if they have a financial standing to match up to Mallika. This leads to a lot of heated debate over the dinner table.
Sunil and Mallika have another chat on his impression of the boys. This is followed by the rose ceremony. Who will get a rose and will be saved and who will be eliminated tonight? We wait and watch!

The search for suitable groom by Mallika Sherawat has begun on the reality show The Bachelorette India-Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika on Life OK channel, that too in an innovative and appealing way.

In the introductory session, where all the 30 contenders were present, Mallika have to select 29 sending one contestant back home, on the basis of first impression during rose ceremony. It has turned a difficult task for the actress as she said how she can send one back only after a single interaction session. But as per the format of the show she has to complete the task.

On being asked whether in the process of selecting a companion from the top 30 contestants, will Mallika be attracted to more than one contestant, to which she replied spontaneously, “Humsafar or true love is always one. I am not Draupadi and I can't be Draupadi, who will marry more than one man. During the rose ceremony when I have to send one contestant back home, it’s painful but that doesn't mean I will keep them all, Ek Hi Ko Sambhal Lu Woh Kafi Hai.”

The Bachelorette India welcomes Rahul Mahajan and Anu Malik!

In an attempt to raise temperature and interest of audience, The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika seems to have applied all time hit strategy, bring-the-celebrity-guest in. As recently they brought popular director and producer Mahesh Bhatt, who was seen guiding Mallika Sherawat in finding her Mr. Perfect suitor. And now, buzz has that the show will soon have two more male-celebrities on the same board.

Rahul Mahajan, who also did Sawayamvar on Imagine TV and celebrated music director Anu Malik, who has composed the title track for the show, will be the guest of honour in the coming episodes. The popular celebrities will spice up the show and help Mallika choose the right partner.

Anu Malik will come on 11th October episode and Rahul will be seen coming on 14 October. Rahul will interact with the contenders and even test them. He will play a word association game to get to know them better.

Who else can help better Mallika than Rahul Mahajan, who himself married under the same format of wedding. He picked Dimple Mahajan as his suitable bride on the show Rahul Ka Sawayamvar on Imagine TV. He is the only one from other three celebrities,(Rakhi Sawant and Ratan Rajput), who actually married on the platform.

Malika herself does not know how to choose a man and she has gone against her parents. She knows very well that Vijay is using her for money and fame but still she is making love to him. This show is just to fool the people and nothing else.
