Rachana Parulkar’s stint as Ajabde ends in Maharana Pratap
This is a sad piece of news for Rachana Parulkar fans.
The lady, who charmed all with her character of Ajabde in Maharana Pratap will soon bid good bye to it. The historical drama on Sony Entertainment Television will soon see a dramatic twist.
So how will her character come to an end?
Well, according to our sources, Akbar’s (Avinesh Rekhi) forces would kill Ajabde. This will agitate Maharana, and he would call for a battle with the Mughal emperor.
With the role of Ajabde ending, Rachana shared, “Being a historical show, my character had to come to an end. It is part and parcel of an actor’s life. I had a great time shooting for Maharana Pratap. I learnt sword fighting, which was a life time experience.”
On asked what she will miss the most from MRP, she replied, “I will really miss seeing myself in Ajabde’s costume.”
What’s the plan now? Fiction or non-fiction show? “I am fine with both. In non-fiction, except for Bigg Boss, I am open to try all kinds of reality TV.”
Will she be comfortable doing another historical or mytho again? “I haven’t thought about it ,as you never know what can come my way.”
Post Maharana, what are your plans? “I will take a small break, unless something exciting knocks my door.”
All the best Rachana!
Don’t forget to watch her exit sequence tonight.

Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge…
This is the song that can be heard from the sets of Bharat Ka Veer Putra…Maharana Pratap (Coniloe Pictures) these days.
Yes, the show on Sony Entertainment Television has good looking actors Ssharad Malhotra and Rushiraj Pawar playing Pratap and Patta on screen.
And interestingly off screen too, the two guys bond so well that they call themselves real brothers.
Shares Rushiraj, “Ssharad bhaiya has surely become an elder brother to me and we share a fabulous relationship. Our on screen chemistry has trickled into our real life and this bond will remain so throughout.”
The actors have also been spotted practicing with their swords during breaks. Shares the young actor, “Since we will be seen fighting on the show soon, we make it a point to practice the art during break. It also acts as a stressbuster for us with this fun session. It’s always nice to have fun time on the sets.”
Sharing another of their ‘fun moment’ details, Rushiraj quips, “Sharad bhaiya on Chetak and me on my horse
Kajal go around the entire Filmcity. Everyone around looks shocked spotting two princely guys riding horses (laughs). That is our way to not only bond among ourselves but also spend some nice time with the horses.”
Superb bonding, we say.
Daisa’s bahu in Diya Aur Baati Hum, Kanishka Soni turns a seductress for Sony Entertainment Television’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Entertainment). With her captivating eyes and immense dancing skills, she will try to woo Akbar (Krrip Suri) and also try to seduce him.

We

Malhotra) in it, and viewers will witness a huge fight between Pratap

Sony Entertainment Television’s popular historical show Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap (Contiloe
Entertainment) has been attracting the viewers with its high voltage dramatic twists and turns. Recently, the show has taken a leap and a very interesting story track been lined up. As seen in the serial, after the leap, the talented actor Ssharad Malhotra has been essaying the role of grown up Pratap and the gorgeous Rachana Parulkar is seen playing Ajabde.
Portraying an historical character for the very first time, Rachana shares that she enjoys playing the role of Ajabde, “I am very happy to be a part of this show and essaying the role of a queen. I enjoy playing Ajabde and also extremely love the royal Rajputana costumes and jewellery which makes me look no less than a real queen.”
Well truly Rachana, you look no less than a real queen onscreen wearing those beautiful costumes!
It was an emotional moment on the sets of Zee TV’s historical drama Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms), when
Mahamanga played by the acting heavyweight Ashwini Kalsekar shot for her last sequence on the show. The current track of the show has Mahamanga behind bars after Jodha exposed her sinister designs and Akbar brutally and ruthlessly kills her son. Mahamanga has been seen reeling under the loss of her son and is consumed with sorrow. The show next week will see her health deteriorating further and the otherwise fierce and scheming matriarch succumbing to death.
In the show, before her death, Mahamanga expresses the desire to meet Akbar and being addressed as Ammi jaan one last time by him. Akbar obliges and she dies in his arms. Ashwini in real life is very close to Rajat Tokas (who plays Akbar on the show) and found the scene even more overwhelming to shoot as both knew in the heart of their hearts that this would perhaps be their last scene together on the sets of the show.
The sequence was shot without any glycerine used by any of the actors present on the set. The atmosphere was grim and Ashwini gave a touching performance leaving not just the cast but even the crew in tears. The entire crew was emotional about bidding farewell to one of the finest and most loved actors on the show and all of them were seen hugging her a goodbye on the last day.
Given that this was her parting shot, Ashwini was very particular in getting the sequence right and for it to come out as real and natural as possible. She in turn discussed and worked out every shot with the director using her expertise to give creative inputs to ensure a smooth flow. This led to the entire sequence being shot in one take without any cuts. The moment the director cut the shot, there was an uproar on the sets as the whole unit got up to give her a standing ovation for her last act.
Ashwini on her departure from the show said, ‘The crew had become my family. We all spent hours together on the sets. It was a very emotional moment for me as I had really got attached to the entire cast, the crew and even this beautiful set in Karjat. Mahamanga’s track has come to a natural end and I am content with the way the character was sketched and shaped up. I now look forward to some new beginnings.’
Paridhi Sharma, who plays Jodha said that she idolizes Ashwini for not just her exceptional acting abilities but also the way she conducts herself in person. She even went on to touch her feet post the wrap up.
The Jodha Akbar team gave Ashwini a warm farewell and hopes she will miss them as much as they will miss her!

Television which recently completed 200 episodes is gearing up for action packed war sequences in the coming episodes.
It will so happen that the Mewar king, Uday Singh (Shakti Anand) will decide to stand against the Marwar king, Rao Maldeo Singh (Surendra Pal) and battle it out on the war front. Maldeo Singh, who has recently being introduced in the show, is a powerful king and known to be the ‘iron man’ will have his army ready for the fight.
But stopping the two rulers and feeding sense to them will be the young warrior prince Pratap (Faisal Khan) who will decide to show them the bigger picture. Pratap, who has had to face the wrath of the Mughal young king Akbar (Vishal Jethwa) in the past, has come to know about his mission of ruining the Rajputs.
“Pratap will tell Uday Singh and Maldeo Singh that rather than fighting among themselves, the Rajputs should get together and fight the Mughals who are their true enemies,” informs a source.
Pratap’s father will realise that his son is right and call off the war with Marwar. Maldeo Singh will also ponder over the thought and chose to join hands with Mewar.
Talking on the same Faisal shares, “This is going to be a very interesting plot wherein all the Rajput rulers would plan to get together and fight off the Mughals.”
Gear up to catch the action packed happenings on the show soon.

The historical saga talks about the life of the mighty king Pratap, who was named Maharana for his valiant nature. Right now the show is focusing on his childhood days, where the popular dancing star Faisal Khan portrays the character of the warrior prince aptly.

I really enjoy shooting for the show, for I have the best team working with me. Also with more people of my age coming in, we have a superb time. The young Pratap aka Faisal Khan of Sony Entertainment Television’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Entertainment) has impressed one and all with his acting abilities, but being young the actor also has a naughty side to him.
For what we hear, Faisal who rose to fame with his dance skills just loves to have fun with his team on the sets. Usually, after facing the camera for hours, one might get all dreary-eyed out of fatigue but the mischievous Faisal is always ready for some fun. Rather than being tired, he keeps busy playing pranks on the cast and crew of the show.
A little birdie from the sets of the show informed us that recently Faisal played a prank with few of the crew members by hiding their cell phones. “Panic struck on the sets for few moments but in no time the tensed moment turned into a light one when the real prankster Faisal was caught red handed by the crew.”
The whole set then turned into a laughter riot and everyone was seen happy and smiling long after the incident too.
When we called up Faisal on the same, he smiled cutely and said, “I like playing pranks on others, it’s always fun to make people laugh. Saath maine rehte hai toh thodi masti toh chalti hai, accha lagta hai”
We second you Faisal! So keep spreading smiles and positivity around.
Jalal and Pratap to get into a jousting fight on Sony TV's Maharana Pratap
The young bloods will soon be seen taking charge as they get into a fight mode in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap
(Contiloe Telefilms). The young princes Jalal (Vishal Jethwa) and
Pratap (Faisal Khan), who will go on to become pioneers for their region
and alter history, have finally come face to face with each other and
the rise of animosity can be seen very well between them.
In the last few days viewers have seen how the two teenage princes
got into a scuffle which made them take up challenge in archery. But
seeing that an animal’s (deer) life was at stake, Pratap had backed out
of the competition and that has led to an undercurrent of hatred between
them.
And now Jalal and Pratap will be seen taking part in a difficult
competition trying to prove their supremacy over each other. The
competition will be of the kinds of knights on horses where the duo will
be on horses running across the field holding a long stick (bhaling)
with the purpose of unsettling the opponent.
Informs a source from the sets, “The guys were trained for the
jousting sequence and they are really excited to shoot the same today.
Let’s see how the shoot will go on, but all I can say is that it’s going
to a very exciting action sequence not seen on TV usually.”
When buzzed, the concerned actors were busy shooting the scenes.
Pratap to defeat Bairam Khan in the battle on Sony TV's Maharana Pratap
Viewers
will soon get to see Bairam Khan (Shabaaz Khan) once again trying to
attack Pratap’s (Faisal Khan) friends on Sony Entertainment Television’s
Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Telefilms). And this time he will use explosives to kill people.
Away from all of these Pratap will be following and keeping an eye on his Guru Raghavendra (Ankur Nayyar).
Raghavendra, as seen by viewers, has been abducted by the Mughals and is in their custody. And even in bondage Raghavendra will leave some signs for Pratap to reach him. Furthermore, as Bairam Khan will get ready to kill Pratap’s friends the intrepid young warrior will make a heroic entry and make everyone lose their attention. With everyone now focusing on Pratap, he will be seen trying to free his friends.
Informs a source, “Pratap will be ready to take Bairam and defeat him in any way. He will give a tough fight to him and also get hurt.”
Pratap will stay intact holding the rope to which his friends would have been tied to. Bairam will try to hurt Pratap by hitting him by a whip but he will hold on to the rope, making desperate attempt to save the life of his friends. And as they say, where there is a will there is a way, finally Pratap will manage to let them get away and will head on to Bairam and finally defeat him.
On the other hand, Rao Surtan (Anand Goradia) will get to the palace and try to capture the queens. Will he manage to do so? Or will Pratap once again save his kingdom?
We tried reaching Faisal but he remained unavailable.

coming days.
But before the fight would begin on the warfront, the queens of King Uday (Shakti Anand) will be shown having a hard time as his wives will all come together and fight with him asking for equality of their rights.

Pratap to go incognito once again in Sony TV's Maharana Pratap
The historical drama show Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap
(Contiloe Telefilms) on Sony Entertainment Television is continually
enthralling the viewers with some racy and interesting sequences. From
wars and peace to love and deceive, the show has managed to encapsulate
every human emotion of a growing warrior prince and his struggles to
reach the throne.
The young Pratap (Faisal Khan) is growing up as the perfect suitor to
rule over his country with his fierce attitude and love and loyalty
towards his land. And after the arrival of Bairam Khan (Shabaz Khan) and
Akbar (Arish Bhiwandiwala), his task to protect his country has
increased manifold.
Informs a source, “As Pratap gets to know that Bairam Khan has camped
near the border of his region, he will decide to find out his real
motives by entering it.”
But as seen earlier, Bairam Khan had identified Pratap and planned to
kill him; he will be at his alert best to avoid any confrontation this
time. Also with his father planning to stay in peace with the
neighbouring rulers, Pratap will be at a loss to what his next step
should be.
And thus Pratap will once again decide to disguise himself and enter
the camp of Bairam Khan and learn about his ulterior motives before he
can harm his country. He, as viewers would know, had earlier gone
incognito as Sakha Veer to fight his enemies.
So what will be his new identity? Will he be able to fight Bairam?
The Queens of Mewar to live a common life in Sony TV's Maharana Pratap
Mewar is at war with Bundi in Sony Entertainment Television's Maharana Pratap
(Contiloe Telefilms) hence, Maharana (King- Shakti Anand) and Pratap
(Faizal Khan) have gone to fight it. Furthermore, the Maharanis of the
kingdom Jaiwanta (Rajshri Thakur), Bhatiyani (Aashka Goradia) and Sajja
Bai (Divyaalakshmi) too have moved out of the kingdom for safety
reasons.
As seen so far, the queens of Mewar are being shifted to a safer place - which is a village.
But the question is will these queens who have stayed in a palace all their lives manage to stay in a small cottage in a village?
This is exactly where the story gets interesting. All the queens will have to stay in the same cottage with just one cot and two mats which will get tough for them.
In fact, Bhatiyani will be seen making an issue out of it. She'd ask for a room of her own but the other two queens will manage to convince her to stay as this is a hard time for the kingdom.
Interestingly, it will be interesting to see which queen gets to sleep on the only cot available in the room. There will surely be a drama around it which viewers have to wait and watch.
There will also be other village day-to-day activities that these royal ladies will have to perform. Thus, don't miss the upcoming episodes.
“It's an interesting twist. The audiences will see us in village attire and also get to watch us having simple food,” confirmed Divyaalakshmi.
We'll keep updating the space!!!

Not finding Sakhaveer, Uday Singh decides to immolate himself in Sony TV's Maharana Pratap
Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Telefilms), the historical saga on Sony Entertainment Television has been seeing the young warrior prince Pratap (Faisal) battling his secret war against his kingdom’s enemies as Sakhaveer.
And with his identity causing trouble for his father Uday Singh (Shakti Anand), things are going to heat up soon.
Informs a source, “Uday Singh had pledged to get hold of Sakhaveer and hand him over to his enemies who had complained about a truant guy in Uday’s region who had been attacking their land.”
Not knowing that this guy is none other than his dear son Pratap, Uday had made a promise to capture Sakhaveer. His soldiers had fought with Pratap (Sakhaveer) but had to return defeated after Raghuvendra (Ankur Nayyar) had intervened and fought valiantly with them.
Feeling insulted at his defeat, Uday will now decide to sit on the pyre and prefer immolating himself than face the kings of his neighbouring regions who will question his authority over his countrymen.
“Since Pratap will be unconscious he will not have any idea about all these happenings,” adds the source.
So will Pratap gain consciousness in time and manage to save his father? Or will Uday kill himself?
We tried calling Shakti, but he remained unavailable for comment.

Shahbaz and Jaya teach young Arish Urdu in Maharana Pratap
Arish Bhiwandiwala currently plays the role of Akbar in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap (Contiloe Telefilms). He replaced young Sahil Deshmukh who had to back out of the project owing to acute illness.
Arish who played the role of young Hrithik in Agneepath has been really trying hard to fit the role of the young Mughal. And the one thing that was giving him sleepless nights was getting perfect fluencies over the Urdu language.
But to his good luck, his senior co-stars Shahbaz Khan and Jaya Bhattacharya are giving the young lad special Urdu speaking classes to solve his worries.
Talking about it Arish says, “I come from a Parsi background, so my command over Urdu language is a little weak. When I got to know I am playing the role of young Akbar who comes from a strong Mughal family I thought it is essential for me to get a perfect hand on Urdu language. I am really glad that I got the opportunity to get the chance to work with such talented and helpful actors like Shahbaz Khan and Jaya Bhattacharya who are mentoring me to learn Urdu.”
Well seems the young boy Arish is walking not only in the lines of Hrithik Roshan who he looks up to but also Aamir Khan, for being a perfectionist.

Yet another replacement has been made in the leading daily saga of television industry. Sony TV’s historical show Dharti Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap will soon witness a replacement in its young character Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar. At present, Sahil Deshmukh has been playing the iconic role of Akbar, but soon Arish Bhiwandiwala will carry forward the role.
The child artist Arish Bhiwandiwala was last seen in Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath
(2012) playing the role of young Vijay Deenanath Chauhan. If believe
the sources, he will play new Akbar on the show very soon.
“It
feels bad to replace Sahil as he is very talented. But his health forced
us to release him. Arish has replaced Sahil. Arish has done a swell job
as the younger Hrithik Roshan in Agneepath and we are certain that the
viewers will like him as Akbar,” informed production team.
We wish fast recovery to Sahil. And wish luck to Arsih!
Victory celebration in Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap!
Mewar Raaj Uday Singh (Shakti Anand) has courageously came out winning the battle of life, prestige and country over Shams Khan on Sony Entertainment Television’s epic Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap, produced by Contiloe Telefilms.
Now entire Mewar is joyous for the victory, prepping to welcome King Uday Singh and Rajiraaj Pratap (Faisal Khan). The queen Maharani Jaivantabai (Rajshree Thakur)
has ordered to decorate entire fort like new bride and celebrate as if
there is a festival. They celebrate the victory with a grand dance by
Pratap.
An elated Faisal, who portrays the young Maharana Pratap said, “I am
very happy to have finally got a chance to shake my legs on the show.
It is a great break from the regular scenes I am doing and I enjoyed
performing a lot. It was a traditional Rajasthani Folk number that was choreographed by a professional dance master who is 76 years old; it was a worth experience.”
Shakti Anand averred, “All this while, the people of Mewar have had a
hard time. They are finally enjoying their happiness by dancing their
guts out. It was a great experience shooting the happy times after the
hard battle sequences.”
Divyalaxmi who plays Sajjabai laughingly says, “As soon as Jowar
was announced, I was scared; thankfully Pratap helped us. And also,
even I got to do my bit of action in the scenes (she killed an intruder
in the palace). So it was real fun.”
The dance sequence will go on air next week.
