Actress Shreya Patel, who plays the new Anandi in ‘Balika Vadhu, has talked about the twists in the show and how it will affect the life of her on-screen character.
The viewers will witness some high drama in the upcoming episodes. Till now little ‘Anandi' has been seen enjoying her sweet and innocent childhood. The audience have witnessed Anandi's reaction when she found out about her marriage to ‘Jigar' (played by Vansh Sayani) while she was just an infant.
She will now come face-to-face with her destiny during the Gauna ceremony when she will have to move out from her parents' home. Her life will drastically change when she is forcibly made to stay at 'Jigar''s house as a bahu(daughter-in-law).
Anshul Trivedi who plays the role of ‘Khimji' added, "Anandi is all set to face several challenges with the story taking an important turn that will bring her face-to-face with the harsh reality. We're all bracing ourselves for this new phase of ‘Balika Vadhu', which is sure to keep the audience hooked."

The first promo
of the season has been released by the channel, and it centers yet
again around the evils of child marriage. In the promo, a little girl,
who is dressed in a colourful attire is called beautiful and a woman
says that they need to find a 'nanha rajkumar' for her. The channel on
which the show will air captioned the new teaser as, "Baal vivaah wo
kupratha hai jo aaj bhi samaaj mein jeevit hai! Isko mitaane ke liye
janm liya hai ek nayi Anandi, ek nayi Balika Vadhu ne. Balika Vadhu
Season 2 jald hi aa raha hai."

- Not Ketki Dave, Kumkum Das roped in for 'Balika Vadhu 3'- While Das has also been a part of the industry for a long time now, she was recently a part of the most successful and popular web series of 2020 - Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, where she played Harshad Mehta's mother.
- Balika Vadhu is back in the news. The show, riding high on its cult status over the years and spawning one massively successful run followed by a short second season is all set and rolling to come back with a new season. We have already reported about the few names that have already been confirmed to be a part of the show so far and there are some more updates coming in.
- In the many names that popped up, one name attracted attention and that was of actor Ketki Dave. Dave is a veteran of the industry and continues to be best remembered for playing Daksha in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi back then. There were reports that Dave has been roped in to play an important role in Balika Vadhu 3 among others. However, a recent report now suggests that Dave is not a part of the show, Instead, another industry veteran Kumkum Das has been roped in.
- In other names that are confirmed to be a part of Balika Vadhu 3 already, the likes of Rashmi Gupta, Chandan Rai and Anshul Trivedi are included. Season 3 already seems to have a lot going on for itself that can keep the fans excited.
- The details of the character isn't known yet but while it was said that Dave will play the role, it can now be confirmed that it will be Das instead. While Das has also been a part of the industry for a long time now, she was recently a part of the most successful and popular web series of 2020 - Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, where she played Harshad Mehta's mother.

Yaar Hoon Main actor Sagar Parekh has been roped in for an important
role in Balika Vadhu 2.Sagar has also been a part of shows such as
Internet Wala Love, Rajaa Betaa and Meri Gudiya. The source informs that
at the moment, there is not much information about his role, but Sagar
will be playing a positive character and will start shooting for the
show in a month’s time. It is also been said that Guddan Tumse Na Ho
Payega actress Rashmi Gupta has been chosen as one of the leads of the
show.
About the show:
- Balika Vadhu (English: Child Bride) is an Indian soap opera that aired on Colors TV between 21 July 2008 and 31 July 2016 and ran for 2245 episodes.
- The story is set in rural Rajasthan and revolves around the life of a child bride transitioning from her childhood to womanhood.
- The soap opera's first season focuses on Anandi and Jagdish, who were married in childhood. The second season reflects on the life of Anandi's daughter, Dr. Nandini (a.k.a. Nimboli) who was also a child bride.

animated series, Chhoti Anandi, was launched in 2016 and focuses on
the adventures of 8-year-old Anandi and her friends. It was
simulcasted on Colors TV and Rishtey from January to April 2016.[29]
