Reviews:
- Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 first episode review: Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar slip into the roles of Ram and Priya beautifully
- The
much-anticipated first episode of Bade Acche Lagte Hain Season 2 is
out. Starring Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar as Ram and Priya this time,
the show evokes the same nostalgia while talking about romance and
commitment as the first season.
- The
first episode itself sets everything straight. Ram is a rich and
successful businessman whose love for Vedika remains unchanged even
though his feelings are not reciprocated by her. She moves on in life
and gets married to someone else.
- Ram's
friend Adi is his close aide and we get to know who Ram really is
through his eyes. In one of the scenes, he describes Ram as a great
deal maker with a big heart. But he adds how he has pills for
everything, doesn't sleep, and mostly travels in his waking hours.
- Ram is close to his family and a kid at heart, who loves good food and rain.
-
Cut to another scene, a beautiful contrast is brought about by Priya's
character. She is a teacher who hates rain and the idea of love. She
feels the thrill attached to both are good for marketing gimmicks. For
holding such views, she is called a frustrated 32-year-old spinster by
her students.
- On the surface, Ram
displays everything Priya dislikes about rich and fancy people. This is
shown through their funny telephonic conversation with each other and
in the last scene when he offers more money to the auto driver in which
Priya is seated already.
- Nakuul's world
is all posh and Priya's is minimal, and the setting helps in making
the characters more relatable. The swift pace of the show, the contrast
between the two characters, and their brief interaction in the first
episode keep you intrigued. Some moments bring a smile to your face.
-
Nakuul Mehta steps into the shoes of Ram Kapoor beautifully. He does
justice to his part. Disha Parmar takes the cake with her simplicity
and genuinity. It's hard not to be reminded of Sakshi Tanwar who was
seen as Priya in the first season.
- While the first season was a huge success, going by the first episode, things seem likely to head the same way for this one.
