  The new sitcom 'Ladies Room' is grabbing attention thanks to its star cast. In the show, transgender actress Kanimol is seen playing one of the lead characters. Even though transgender entering reality shows as contestants has been seen earlier but it is for the first time in the history of Malayalam TV that an artist from the community is seen playing a lead in any TV show.
• In the show, actress Kanimol is seen playing the character Riya, who is one of the 5 main roles in the show.
• 'Ladies Room' portrays the life of five friends, from different walks of life, live together in a hostel. The day-to-day affairs in the life of these friends form the crux of the sitcom.
