Nisha Sarangh on Uppum Mulakum: I can't let my family watch even the re-telecast on TV; it gets me emotional
Uppum Mulakum has become an integral part of the life of many Malayali telly audiences. However, the show had an unexpected end a few months ago and fans are still upset about the same.- Recently, ETimes-TV got Uppum Mulakum's Neelu aka Nisha Sarangh talk about life after the show. The actress, who is still upset about the unfortunate end, shares that it feels like losing a part of her own life.
- "I don't even let my family watch the re-telecast on TV. Because, I get emotional watching it. The word 'missing' can't actually describe the feeling I am experiencing now. I lived my character 'Neelu' for more than 5 years, it feels like losing a part of my soul," she said.
- Nisha also added that even if she gets better characters in her career, this will always remain her best.
- "I can't thank the team for giving me Neelu. I could play each and every phase in a woman's life as Neelu. A great daughter, caring sister, a good wife, a doting mother, a loveable daughter-in-law, I have played it all. Thanks to viewers, the channel, the team, my co-stars," Nisha expressed her gratitude.
- The actress is also happy that she is in touch with most of her co-stars.
- "I miss Parukutty the most. Recently, I saw her in a video saying she loves 'Neelu Amma' the most. Her mother also told me that she watches the show on TV and asks 'Where is everyone?'," Nisha shared.
- Even though the show has gone off-air a few months ago, most of the fan groups online are active and Nisha said it is a blessing to experience such unconditional love.
- "It is more than a blessing to live the character even after the show has gone off-air. Uppum Mulakum is still afresh in the minds of the audience and our characters are still a part of their families too," she gushed.
- Nisha requests the audience to continue giving the same support to the team in their future endeavours, too. The actress also updated that she is looking forward to doing movies.
- "We
won't be able to come back to you as Neelu and kids. But, we will be
back as new characters. Requesting the same love and support," Nisha
concluded.
