Bengali television is ready to welcome a series of new shows and Leena Ganguly’s ‘Balijhor’ is among them. The show will premiere next month. Here’s a piece of good news for all the telly viewers who have been waiting for Leena Ganguly’s upcoming television outing ‘Balijhor’. The multi-starrer daily soap, which will narrate a love story woven in the backdrop of a political environment, is set to launch next month. The show, starring Trina Saha, Indrasish Roy and Koushik Roy as the protagonists, will start its journey on Bengali television from February 6. Interestingly, it will replace the time slot in which ‘Nabab Nandini’ is currently being aired. The Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh and Indrani Paul starrer isn’t living up to the expectation of the audience and yet to cast a spell on the TRP charts.- Meanwhile, ‘Balijhor’ has managed to tickle the curiosity level of the audience with its star cast. Hit reel pair Trina and Koushik, who entertained the audience in their previous show ‘Khorkuto’ have teamed up again for the new show. Indrasish too is a popular actor, who was seen in the recently concluded television drama ‘Dhulokona’. Besides them, the show has an ensemble star cast that includes some of the very popular faces of Tollywood. Veteran artists Sabitri Chatterjee and Madhabi Mukhopadhyay will grace the upcoming show. Actors Bharat Kaul, Moina Mukherji, Prity Biswas, Tathagata Mukherjee and many other artists will also essay prominent roles. Interestingly, upcoming show ‘Balijhor’ will compete against Bengali TV’s yet another popular soap opera ‘Mithai’, which has been shifted to this evening slot recently.

political backdrop. Srot’s character is played by Indrasish while Trina
is playing his love interest. Trina’s co-star Koushik aka Soujanya from
