Rapper Naezy, also known as Naved Sheikh, one of the contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 3, frequently shares intriguing stories from his life. He has made several surprising revelations on the show, from discussing the negative impact of Gully Boy on his life to struggling with a lack of funds to make music. In the latest episode, Naezy opened up once again, sharing how his parents were against his passion for rap.
In last
night's episode, Naezy was seen telling Ranveer about his lifelong
passion for cinema. He revealed that he loved watching films and
listening to music, but his parents would not allow him to indulge in
these activities.
Naezy says, "Maine bahut movies dekha when I was
growing up. Main ghar waalon se bach bach ke chup chup ke (I watched a
lot of movies when I was growing up. I would hide and sneak around to
avoid getting caught by my family." Ranveer asks about the reason and
Naezy says, "Ghar Par Mana karte the, no theatre, no TV nothing. no
music (At home, they forbade it—no theater, no TV, nothing. No music at
all)."
The Bheja Fry actor makes a guess, why was it a Orthodox
family? The rapper says, "Yes, orthodox family." He quizzed further,
"Then how did you follow your passion for music?" Naezy says, "Chup chup
ke, I became a rebel now. It was very difficult to convince my parents
but kis hadh tak main kamiyab hua, ab 10 saal hogaye na mujhe, unko ab
thoda toh samajhta hai, ke jaane do tera dil kar raha hai toh tu kar le.
Tu galat hai, sahi hai woh allah ko pata hai, tujhe pata hai. Aisi
understanding mein hoon main. Lekin family mein baaki logon ne bhi thoda
bhadkaya (I used to sneak around and now I’ve become a rebel. It was
very difficult to convince my parents, but over the past 10 years, they
have somewhat come to understand. Now they tell me, 'Go ahead and do
what you love. Whether it's right or wrong, only Allah knows, and you
know.' That's the understanding we have now. However, other family
members also stirred things up a bit)."
